Some years here, eight years there, and seventeen
Austin, Texas radio stations.It is a real radio
adventure that never stops and it is a great
feeling to enjoy what you do everyday and meet
the people you meet. What really makes the job
so great are the listeners.
I can tell you that
the fans that listen to country music are the
most loyal and caring people I have ever met.
Listeners always ask, "Who have you met?”, "What
are they like?". The list of artist and
personalities is endless. The concerts, the buses,
the stories, I could write a book. I am a huge
fan of all things live music, the kind of person
who drives five hours to see a one hour performance,
not to mention traveling with the bands for multiple
shows.
Over the years I’ve been lucky enough to
work and have a personal connection to many of the
up and coming Texas Country Artists. Just one of
the perks of this crazy radio industry.
KMKS is a great place to work and is truly one of
a kind Texas original.
